Chulalongkorn University is the oldest and one of the most prestigious universities in Thailand. Founded in 1917 by King Vajiravudh (Rama VI), the university was named as a tribute to the king’s royal father, King Chulalongkorn (Rama V). Over a period of time, Chulalongkorn University, or Chula for short, has grown to become a full-fledged university. Today, Chula comprises eighteen faculties, a graduate school, eleven research institutes, three teaching institutes, and four affiliated institutions with more than 2,800 faculty members.

Requirements of Eligible Applicants

-Applicants must be undergraduate students at an accredited University in an ASEAN country except Thailand.
-Applicant must be a citizen of an ASEAN member country
-All ASEAN students studying in Thailand are ineligible to apply.

Expense fee 50,000 Baht

Requirement for an NFP fellowship, candidates need to be admitted to the master’s degree program or short course for which they would like an NFP fellowship or be admitted as a PhD student

Obtain academic admission
You first apply for academic admission directly to the Dutch institution. Your admission must be unconditional in terms of your education and language proficiency. Admission may be granted only, subject to you finding suitable funding for the program.

You are strongly advised to seek academic admission as early as possible to allow the institution to process your application in time. Check the deadlines for academic admission with the Dutch institution directly for up-to-date information.

The academic admission process for a PhD study is an individual track. If you want to be admitted as a PhD student check the requirements and the deadlines with the Dutch institution.

If you have been admitted to more than one course or study programme in one fellowship per application deadline you will have to choose one programme before you apply for a fellowship.

Welcome to apply for fully funded scholarship within the Erasmus Mundus Europe Asia (EMEA) Scholarship Programme! EMEA is a scholarship programme for students on undergraduate, master, doctoral and post-doctoral level as well as for university staff in academic or administrative positions, financed by the European Commission. The EMEA Scholarship Programme is open to nationals in Bangladesh, China, India, Nepal and Pakistan who want to study or work at one of the European partner universities.

Eligibility
Must be a national of one of the Asian countries covered by the lot;
• Must not have resided nor have carried out her/ his main activity (studies, work, etc) for more than a total of 12 months over the last fi ve years in one of the European countries;
• Undergraduate students must have completed at least one year of studies in their home institution;
• Must have suffi cient knowledge of the language of the course or one of the languages currently spoken in the hosting countries. Language requirements can be found on each partner university´s website;

[Japan] The Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship for Cambodian Applicants

The Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS) program has been started in the Kingdom of Cambodia since 2000. Up to day, total of 248 fellows have been sent to Japan under the program.
The objective of JDS Program is to support human resource development of Cambodia, targeting highly capable, young government officials who are expected to engage formulating and implementing social and economic development plans and becomes leaders after earning Master’s degree (English course) in Japan.
The JDS program is now inviting potential applicants who understand its aims and are interested in 1-2.5 year master degree program at Japanese accepting universities for the academic year 2012-2013.The program will be instructed in English. The number of dispatches is 24 per year.

Eligibility
1. Citizen of Cambodia;
2. Between the age of 22 and 39 as of April 1, 2012;
3. Required at least two years of work experience including a period of probation as full-time employee in the target organizations;
4. Has bachelor’s degree;
5. Has a good command of both written and spoken English (TOEFL score of 500 / IELTS 5.5 or higher is preferred but not required);
6. Has not been obtained Master’s degree under the support of foreign scholarship;
7. Applicants must not be serving in the military.

The Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS) program has been started in the Kyrgyz Republic since JFY 2006. Up to day, total of 87 fellows have been sent to Japan under the program.
JDS program is now inviting potential applicants who understand its aims and are interested in 2 years master degree program at Japanese accepting universities for the academic year 2012-2013. The program will be instructed in English. The number of dispatches is 15 per year.

Eligibility
1. Citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic;
2. Thirty eight (38) and under, as of April 1, 2012;
3. Required at least two years of work experience as a civil or municipal servant (as of April 1, 2012);
4. Has completed the undergraduate level education;
5. Has a good command of English at graduate school level;
6. Has not been obtained Master’s degree under the support of foreign scholarship;

[USA] Santosh Jain Endowed Memorial Scholarship for International Students

The Santosh Jain scholarship honors the memory of the spouse of Chaman Jain, a senior lecturer in SPEA. Santosh Jain was well known among international graduate students. She was born in Lahore, India, which is now part of Pakistan. She first came to the United States from New Delhi, India, in 1970 with her husband and their two small children in order for Chaman Jain to attend graduate school at IU. Throughout the years, she supported her family as they pursued higher education, and was passionate about serving her community and promoting education. She was a founding member of the India Society of Bloomington, a group dedicated to assisting impoverished women and children in India. She was also well known in the graduate student community for her culinary skills.

Eligibility
The recipient will possess a track record of service to underserved or rural communities, humanitarian causes, or educational organizations in activities that support an improvement in the lives and opportunities to those in impoverished communities. Preference will be given to graduate students from South Asia, in particular those hailing from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Sikkim.

The Centre aims to transform the energy R&D human capital available to the country, not only by growing it, but by ensuring that women and previously disadvantaged individuals receive sufficient support. An amount of R100,000 per year is available for Masters students over a period of two years and an amount of R120,000 per year is available for PhD students over a period of three years respectively for full time studies.

Job description
In the framework of a FWO project a motivated PhD student is sought to work on the utilization of nitrones in synthetic polymer chemistry in the department OBPC/PRD. The project focuses on novel control methodologies in radical polymerization for the precise preparation of well-defined macromolecular architectures with specific properties that may find application in various fields ranging from nanotechnology to industrial bulk polymer production. To reach this aim, the research is carried out at the interface of the fields of contemporary polymer synthesis, state-of-the-art polymer characterization and polymerization kinetics.

Profile and diploma
The candidate is expected to perform research in the area of synthetic polymer chemistry. Candidates will have a master degree in chemistry or an equivalent diploma. A good command of the English language and willingness to perform research in a team-oriented international research environment are recommended.

Offer
A two times two years position with a midterm evaluation.
